As many of you know, I fell off my front porch steps and broke my ankle on May 19th. This past Tuesday, I had surgery and had a plate and screws installed (I’m a robot now🤖). While this means that I will unfortunately not be able to book shoots for a few months, I will continue to work diligently on recovering so I can get back to it. I will be doing PT as soon as I’m cleared for it and will work on returning stronger than ever. For now though, lots of rest, ice and elevation until my next check up!

Hey everyone! Yes, I am STILL HERE, alive and kicking, AND SHOOTING. Social media has never been my strong suit, and I'm not going to pretend like it is, loll. It's the truth🤷🏽‍♀️.

Hello, I am Melanie! Sole owner & photographer here.
I have been in business for almost ELEVEN (11) years now!
I am married to (and forever obsessed with!) my most amazing life partner.
We live on an old farm, south of DFW, with our beautiful children & lots of animals - chickens and bees included.
For fun, I dance and thrift and sing my lungs out, even though I am quite terrible at singing.
I am required to have an iced coffee in hand basically every day, and it's not for the caffeine content. It's the taste I can't live without, loll.
I am covered in tattoos, and they are very visible. I love them!
I can't live without my crop tops and will most like show up in one during a summer shoot.
Random, but I have teeth gems, and it's probably been one of my favorite (semi-permanent) additions to myself!
I am loud, love to crack jokes, and spend half my conversations laughing.

I am still photographing families, couples, graduates, models, and even weddings.
I will treat every shoot that's booked with care, attention to detail, and more.
I love what I do and I pour my love into every image I deliver.

Can you believe I got to start the year off with this beautiful maternity session?
I’ve been blessed to know mom for many years now, and this session was an absolute treat!
We had never been to this park before, but it turned out to be a really wonderful surprise! (Support your local state parks!)
We ended the night with a beautiful sunset, and tbh, I could not have asked for anything more! 😌🥰

I really loved working with these three🥹.
I loved learning about their lives and how they met.
I loved meeting baby and watching him be loved by his moms.
I loved the intimacy of their space and their love.
I just loved being able to capture a glimpse of their little slice of heaven.
