Reading the contraction monitor is far more simple than it seems! It's the best tool for timing your contractions and knowing when the right time to call your birth photographer ( me! ) to head to your birth.

Honestly, home Meet & Greets are my favorite.

Birth is so lovely...but those first moments when your family gets to love and welcome this long-anticipated little one...

I've waited weeks to share from this maternity session! I wanted to share them from the back of my camera, to be honest.

It's World Breast Feeding Week! And as we celebrate the support, education, and rights (and any other campaign theme they've picked for the year) of breastfeeding, I just want to remind you...

❤️ You shouldn't feel guilt or shame for breastfeeding

How are you doing?

Some days better than others?

I think the hardest part about staying home with the family all day every day is trying to be everything to everyone. I should be used to it...happens every summer when the coach is out of school for the summer. But it's been a bit longer than usual...

I can't imagine how my moms of little ones are making it all work. I hope you have help. I hope you give yourself grace.

Yes, it is perfectly fine to take walks in pajamas and if letting your three-year-old choose his outfits makes a bit easier...no one will judge you - promise. (Because let's be honest - we look like the three-year-old picked our outfits, too.)

Balance has always been a hot topic when it comes to motherhood. There is every article and blog under the sun about balancing work, motherhood, your own identity, etc. etc.

I've always equated it to spinning plates and sometimes you have to put one down to keep the rest from falling off the sticks.

Sometimes...you just need to put all the plates down and do a whole lot of this...


Pro Tip: Oatmeal Cookies have just about the same nutritional value and less sugar as those packets of flavored instant oatmeal. Give yourself a break and let them have the cookies for breakfast. 😘

Mother or Mermaid? Home births can be such a luxury when it comes to comfort choices. Your favorite chair, napping in your own bed, water, enjoying your outdoor space...

It's understandable why women who have loved their home birth experience share their stories.

There will come a day when they no longer fit right here. This spot was created so perfect for them when they're little - you just wish they could stay there forever.

Soon they will grow and this wonderful perfect fitting puzzle piece will no longer be comfortable for either of you.

So don't feel guilty if this is how you prefer to spend your time - because this moment is fleeting. Hold them here as long as you can.

Spring pandemics bring winter babies!

I have so much fun being one of the first to know your baby's gender!

We did this sweet reveal without friends and family present...but created a fun little video to share safely and surprise a lot of anticipating folks.

We added in a little early maternity just for fun! Now here's hoping I can be at her birth in December.🤞🙏
