I kind of disappeared for a bit.
Life hit me in a way I wasn’t prepared for, and I needed to take a personal leave from photography after losing my soul dog. It completely shifted my world, and honestly, I just didn’t have it in me to show up creatively the way I wanted to.
What’s hard to put into words is that she’s also the reason I started taking photography seriously in the first place. When she got sick, I felt this urgency to hold onto every moment—to document her, our bond, all the little things I never wanted to forget. That’s what pushed me to pick up my camera in a different way… and it ended up changing everything.
So stepping away from something that existed because of her felt especially heavy.
I gave myself permission to pause. To grieve. To not force it.
The last few months have been really heavy, but also really grounding. And somewhere in that space, I started finding my way back to myself—and back to this thing I love so much.
Because if anything, this loss reminded me just how important it is to hold onto moments while we have them.
All that to say… I’m back. 🖤
And I’m officially booking sessions again.
If you’ve been thinking about photos, putting it off, or just waiting for the right time—this is your sign. Let’s capture something real, something meaningful, something you’ll be so glad you didn’t wait on.
Thank you for sticking with me, for the kind messages, and for giving me the space to come back when I was ready. It means everything. 🤍
My books are officially back open.
