Sleeping Otter Photography My name is Samantha, and I grew up in the small town of Fostoria, MI. I left home in 2005 and lived in a few different places. (Spain, Louisiana and Tennessee).

First to NMU in Marquette, MI where I fell in love with photography after college I lived in a few different places. I met my husband and daughters in Louisiana in 2011 while my husband was serving in the Air Force. In 2019, when Corona turned the world on its head, our family did not make it through without a few bumps in the road. We made the decision to move from Nashville, TN back up to my hom

etown to be closer to family and our support system. Most of my life I have had children around me. It started, like most eldest children start, by watching their siblings. Then it morphed to younger cousins and neighborhood kids to make money, it traveled with me through college and then took me to Spain where I was a nanny for a year. When I met my husband, at 24, I became a mom to a 4- & 6-year-old and now I have two teenagers! I realized when I became an aunt 3 years ago how much joy little ones bring into my life. After all the uncertainty with the world, I decided to stop letting myself get in my own way and to just jump into the dream. Thus, Sleeping Otter Photography was born.
