As a nature and wildlife photographer, my goal is to capture the feeling of the moment whether it be the ruggedness of the terrain, beauty in tranquility, or the rawness of the wild. When you feel like you are right there alongside me as I fire off my camera's shutter, I have accomplished what I set out to do. The focus of my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree chose me long before I entered the halls of
Arizona State University. Ever since I can remember, I have had a camera in tow. One of my first cameras was a 1970s Polaroid Electric Zip Red Land Camera. Many wonderful memories were formed behind its viewfinder while spending time with my granddad at his lake house on Florida's gulf coast. As years passed, I graduated to a Nikon F3 HP in my high school years. Just like my father, my main focus was nature photography; and living in Colorado lent itself to no shortage of beautiful scapes and wild animals to hone my skills nature photography talents. I have had the honor and privilege of living and traveling through some of the most beautiful places in the United States and throughout Latin America. I love getting up close and personal with creepy crawlies, birds of the air, wild horses, and all that grows in both plush and arid landscapes. Those early years of patiently waiting for the Polaroid to develop have long passed into my history and seem like an eternity gone by, but my love for photography still courses through my veins as I press onward chasing light and shadows to capture fleeting moments of this blessing we call life. I can't imagine ever tiring of the sound of the shutter slamming shut as another photograph is captured of God's beautiful creation. May my photographs you lead you to a deeper desire to expand your horizons and explore the world around you. I regularly post new imagery on my website at www.eyegophoto.com and make them available for purchase there.
