Fine Art by Melvin

Fine Art by Melvin The camera is my tool, and the world is my Muse. I will creating beautiful art pieces, to evoke your But sitting in front of the pottery wheel was not for me.

I was not born with a paint brush in my hands but I knew early on that I wanted to be an artist. With the inspiration of my teacher I created black luster ceramic heads. After HS I turn to photography and have not look back since. I love creating artistic heirloom portrait for my client, but my muse is photographing landscape. Come join me in my adventure throughout the world as I hope to inspire you with my creation.

Braving the elements to try to get this unique image of Lady Liberty with the full moon setting behind her. Was looking good but those low level clouds did not cooperate. Ah well, guess I will have to wait until 2024 to try it again. Miss my partner in crime, smart man stay home while I froze.

Local Photographer's Work Goes to International Exhibition
Melvin Guante of Melvin Fine Portrait Studio is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography.
Watertown, MA November 13, 2020
Photographs created by Melvin of Melvin Fine Portrait Studio in Watertown have recently been accepted into the (General/Loan) Collection of Professional Photographers of America's 2020 International Photographic Competition. Melvin’s work will be on display at the upcoming Imaging USA, held virtually January 17-19, 2021. Imaging USA is one of the largest annual conventions and expos for professional photographers.
A panel of 36 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from over 5,000 total submitted entries at PPA headquarters in Atlanta. Judged against a standard of excellence, 1,706 images were selected for the General Collection and 865 (roughly 17 percent) were selected for the esteemed Loan Collection—the best of the best. The Loan Collection images will all be published in the much-anticipated "Loan Collection" book by Marathon Press.
Titled After the Storm, Bridge to tranquility, and Time to reflect, Melvin’s photographs will be in the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition and traveling and special invitational displays. These images constitute one of the world's largest annual exhibits of professional photography gathered simultaneously in one place.
