ALL-AMERICAN. 🇺🇸

History has been made.

Michael Carter is officially a USA Wrestling All-American!

Michael's incredible run through the Greco-Roman bracket included:

✅ Technical Fall over Spencer Smitley (IN) – 9-0 (0:59)
✅ Fall over Hunter Martinez (CO) – 0:27
✅ Fall over Lucian Lorenz (WI) – 0:25 to punch his ticket to the semifinals and guarantee All-American honors with a Top 6 finish in the nation!

After falling to eventual champion, Sawyer Schendel (MN) in the semifinals, Michael showed exactly what championship wrestlers do.

He bounced back with an 18-11 victory over Garrett Cowan (ND) in the consolation semifinals to advance to the 3rd-place match.

Michael finished his tournament 4th in the nation!

Just days after coming one point shy of All-American honors in Freestyle, Michael refused to let that define him. He came back in Greco-Roman and earned his place among the very best wrestlers in America.

Congratulations, Michael! Your Frankenmuth wrestling family couldn't be more proud. Way to finish strong! 💪🦅🇺🇸

Carter becomes first All-American Wrestler at FHS
GRECO-ROMAN ALL-AMERICAN: Frankenmuth varsity wrestler Michael Carter earned All-American status at the USMC Junior & 16U National Championship, and was one point short of becoming an All-American in freestyle.
