The athlete, the cheerleader, the grad, the girl who is just herself. Somewhere in senior year, the milestone quietly turns into your project. The outfits, the scheduling, the gallery you keep meaning to sort. You wanted to be in the room for this year, not run it.

So I plan all of it. We choose the outfits and the locations, I guide your senior through every frame, and you walk away with an album and wall art made to keep. The whole year, not one look.

Half the senior boys I photograph tell me the same thing. I'm only here because my mom asked me to.

Those are my favorite ones.

We don't start with posing. We start with his stuff. His Jeep. His letterman jacket. His dog. I guide him through every frame so he never has to figure out what to do with his hands.

By the end he's into it. And his mom finally has the photos she's wanted for years, including the ones she's in.

The most common question I get: where should we photograph your senior pictures? My answer is always the same. Where matters to you? The field you grew up next to, downtown Frankfort, the forest preserve trails, the city you love, the spot that actually means something. A location someone else picks is just a backdrop. The one that's yours becomes a photo you still care about in fifteen years. I photograph seniors across the Lincoln-Way area and the Chicago south suburbs. I didn't plan on this. I retired from corporate, COVID hit, and I kept photographing just for me. Then my daughter Amanda asked me to take her senior photos. She had the whole thing planned, downtown Chicago, the skyline, her best friend along. We photographed her vision, all of it. When she saw them, it mattered that it was me who made them, her mom, using what I know to make the day hers. That's when I realized I could do this for other families. Amanda was my first senior. Sometimes seniors tell me they don't want anything crazy, they are doing this because mom wants them.

So I figure out what things they like and we start there. In Patrick's case, his dog, his Jeep, his Iowa gear. No performing for the camera. By the end he was into it, and his mom was so happy with the end result.

If your senior swears he doesn't need photos, he's exactly who I do this for.

Here's the honest timeline. The best fall light in Frankfort runs late September through October, and I take fewer than a handful of seniors each week so every session gets the full guided experience. Those dates fill fast.
