And just like that… we’re heading back to school this week! 📚✏️

As much as I love summer and having the kids home, I’m definitely ready to get back into our routine 😂 Early mornings, packed lunches, sports, homework, and all the craziness that comes along with it.

But there’s also something about the start of a new school year that feels like a fresh beginning. New teachers, new friends, new experiences, and another year of watching these little personalities grow into exactly who they’re meant to be. ❤️

I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for all of our kiddos. Here’s to a great school year! 🥹

I mean… can we talk about this HAIR?! 😍🤎

The hair, the little back rolls, those tiny toes peeking out… this little guy made my job way too easy. 🥹

One of my favorite things about photographing newborns is that no two babies are ever the same. Some curl right into every pose, some have their own agenda 😂, and that’s exactly how it should be.

I never go into a newborn session expecting a baby to fit into a certain mold. I follow their cues, take my time, and let them lead the way. Keeping baby safe and comfortable will always come first — and we create some pretty beautiful images along the way. 🤍

This beautiful family. 🤍

I’ve been photographing them and watching their family grow for the last… honestly, I don’t even know how many years at this point 😂 And I have loved getting to capture so many different seasons of their lives.

But this session was definitely one of my favorites.

They built this beautiful home from the ground up, so being able to photograph their family here just felt extra special. There’s something so meaningful about capturing your family in the place where so many of your everyday memories are being made.

And the kids made it even better. 😂 Being in their own home, they were comfortable, relaxed and — believe it or not — actually wanted me to take their pictures! LOL. They got to just be themselves, and it made the entire session feel so natural and easy.

That’s one of the things I love most about in-home family photography. It’s not just about getting a beautiful family photo. It’s about documenting this exact chapter of your life — the kids at these ages, the home you created together, and all those little moments you don’t realize you’re going to miss one day. 🤍

As a Bergen County family photographer, getting to grow alongside my families and photograph these milestones year after year is something I’ll never take for granted.

And years from now, I think these photos will mean even more knowing they were taken right here, at home. 🥹
