Studio has recently caught a little piece of my heart.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m an outside girly 100%. Give me golden hour and a pretty location and I’m thereeee. 😂🤍

But recently, I invested in learning more about studio photography and lighting, and sessions like THIS are exactly why.

We took 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒎𝒖𝒂 brand, her colors, her makeup brushes and a simple pink backdrop and turned it into something that feels completely HER. 💕 The spotlight, the shadows, the poses everything came together exactly how I envisioned it.

That’s what I’m starting to love so much about studio. It’s not just taking a pretty picture. It’s being able to create an entire look around the person and what they do.

And can we talk about how PERFECT this setup was for a makeup artist?! 😮‍💨💄📸

I still have so much I want to learn, but whewww… studio is definitely fighting for a permanent piece of my heart. 😂🤍

We bring the entire setup to you and work closely with your center to make photo day smooth, simple, and stress-free for both staff and families. And because we know how important safety is when it comes to your little ones, we’ve completed the required background checks through Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) for working in childcare settings. 🤍

Second Moms With Cameras class in the books! 📸🤎

It was a LONG day, but so worth it! These ladies showed up ready to learn, ask questions, shoot, make mistakes, and figure it out and they left with SO much knowledge. 🥹📸

Watching everything start to click from camera settings, lighting, posing, and actually putting it all into practice, is my favorite part.

So far, I’ve helped 10 moms learn how to use their cameras, and that makes my heart so happy. 🥹
I’m so proud of every single one of them! Now the real fun begins… PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! 😂

Thank you ladies for trusting me to teach you what I know.

I never started photography because I had some big dream of becoming a photographer.
I started because I was trying to survive.

When my sister passed, I was lost.

I couldn’t work.
My mental health wasn’t in the best place.
Some days, I didn’t know what I was supposed to do with myself or how life was supposed to keep moving when mine felt like it had stopped.

Then I picked up a camera.

And little by little, photography gave me somewhere to put the pain. It gave me something to focus on when my mind was too heavy. It gave me a reason to get up, create, and keep going.

That’s where Touched By An Angel came from. 🤍

Her.

What started in one of the darkest seasons of my life became something I could have never imagined. A business. A career. A way to provide for my family. A way to serve people. A way to freeze moments for others that I now understand are more precious than we realize.

There are days I wish more than anything that I could call my sister and tell her, “Look what this became.”

But then I remember…

She’s the reason it became anything at all.

Touched By An Angel isn’t just a name on my business.

It’s part of my story.
It’s part of hers.
And every time I pick up my camera, a little piece of her is still here with me.

I built something beautiful from a season that almost broke me.

And I think she’d be proud. 🤍📸

We haven’t shown our faces around here lately… so for those who are new here, hi! 🥹🖤

These are the faces behind TBA Photography (Touched By Angel)
I’m Angel, and this is my husband, Cody. 🤎

And sometimes I look at us and get emotional because I know this wasn’t just us.

This was God.

God took a camera, a dream, two people willing to work, and turned it into something that has blessed our family in ways I could’ve never imagined.

There have been long nights. Sacrifices. Tears. Prayers. Moments of wondering how we were going to make it all work. Seasons where one of us had to carry a little more than the other.

But through every season, God kept His hand on us.

TBA may have started as a dream in my heart, but God knew I wouldn’t build it alone. He gave me a husband who would stand beside me, pick up a camera, learn, sacrifice, believe in the vision, and help me turn that dream into something our babies get to watch us build together.

And THAT gets me. 😭

Because this is so much bigger than photography.

We’re building a life.
We’re raising our girls.
We’re creating something they can be proud of.
And most importantly, we’re showing them what can happen when you put God first, love each other, work hard, and keep going.

Every door that opened. Every client who trusted us. Every opportunity. Every blessing.

God did that. 🙌🏾

So when I look at this picture, I don’t just see two photographers.

I see a husband and wife standing in the middle of something we once prayed for. 🥹🤎

To God be ALL the glory.

As long as He keeps leading, we’ll keep following. 🙏🏾📸
