Hello and welcome! 👋🏻

I’ve noticed a lot of new faces around here lately, so I thought it was the perfect time to step out from behind the camera and properly introduce myself!

I’m Kara, the photographer behind Captured by Kara. I’m based in Franklin, New Hampshire, and I’m all about capturing authentic, warm, and meaningful moments. The kind that feel real, natural, and timeless.

When I’m not behind the lens, you can usually find me hanging out with my boyfriend, Steve, and our two fur babies Freddy and Maple. We love the ocean, camping, concerts, and a good lazy movie night.

I’ve always loved photography because it lets us hold onto a feeling forever. Life moves so fast, but being able to freeze a piece of your story into a timeless memory is magic to me.

I am so grateful to have you following along on this journey with me!

When Lauren reached out to me and we started chatting I had a feeling her photoshoot was going to be a great one. Boy, was I right! I had the pleasure of going to their home to capture the photos of their beautiful family.

Lauren and Brandon were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and they fully leaned into the experience making my job so easy and enjoyable.

Jamo was too cool for photos, but we were able to peek his interest here and there resulting in some adorable family photos.

Sessions like these really make me love my job 🥰
