40 years of impact comes with a lot of stories.

Today we had the opportunity to capture one of them at Hood College with SHIP.

For four decades, the Community Foundation has helped strengthen Frederick County by investing in the organizations, programs and people doing the work every day.

This project is about more than looking back at 40 years. It’s about showing what those years of partnership have made possible and the people whose lives continue to be impacted because of it.

Excited to help tell these stories.

Join us on June 12 at THEARC Theater for the exclusive screening of “We Rep DC, We Are DC,” a documentary exploring the origins, evolution, and legacy of Beat Ya Feet culture through the voices of the Kings who helped shape it.

This film is a celebration of DC’s rhythm, resilience, and identity; and we’re honored to finally share it with the community.

What began as 40 strangers stepping into the woods became something much bigger 🏕️

Over the course of this journey, we witnessed conversations that mattered, connections that formed naturally, and moments of reflection that reminded us how important it is to slow down and be present 🧘🏾‍♂️

This experience was never just about camping… It was about community, mental wellness, and creating space for people to reconnect with nature, others, and themselves.
