This weekend was exceptionally special. I had the privilege of capturing Heather & Joey's beautiful wedding.
The whole event was a family affair from both sides. The venue is Joey's grandparent's gorgeous Key Peninsula home. Joey's grandfather officiated the wedding. The mother of the bride is my best friend. One of my daughters and one of my dear friends spent the day capturing candid images. My husband was the master chef, smoking nearly 40 lbs of brisket as well as making smoked mac n cheese.
The day started off sunny, then we got to the house and it just started dumping rain. For hours. Linda Jo (MOB) went out in the rain to do a "rain dance" about an hour before the ceremony. Come time to walk down the aisle, it's barely sprinkling and just as they were exchanging rings, the sun broke through. The dance worked!
I truly adore these two lovebirds and I'm so grateful that they trusted me to photograph this special day. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hughes. Enjoy the honeymoon!! Xoxo, Auntie Gen
