This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the people who nurture, protect, support, guide, and love in so many different ways - birth moms, adoptive moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, godmothers, aunties, teachers, bonus moms, and yes… dog moms too. ❤️
Some are celebrating their very first Mother’s Day.
Some are carrying memories of mothers who have passed on.
Some are healing, growing, surviving, and showing up for others every single day.
No matter what your journey looks like today is for you.
One thing I’ve learned as both a mom and a photographer is this:
Take the photos.
Get in the frame.
Capture the messy moments, the genuine smiles, the chaos, the laughter, the quiet hugs, the paw prints, the wrinkles, the gray hair, the imperfect beauty of real life.
Because years from now, those photographs become more than pictures.
They become memories you can hold onto.
As a photojournalist-style photographer, I love capturing authentic moments exactly as they happen — the emotion, connection, personality, and love that make your story uniquely yours. The candid in-between moments are often the ones that matter most.
Photographs freeze time for the people we love.
And someday, those images become priceless.
Happy Mother’s Day to every kind of mom and every kind of love story worth remembering. 📸🐾❤️
