One of my favorites pictures I've taken lately...Barn Owl in our huge tree.
Normally when our owls flee the barn, they are impossible to locate. Luckily, I witnessed this female leave the barn and fly for a bit before landing and was able to see her immediately!
This picture is unlike any I've ever seen of a Barn Owl and I'm super grateful for the opportunity to share her beauty.

I'm so sorry I haven't been able to keep up to date with this page! I end up posting on my personal page and forgetting to share here! But I promise to do better!
I have two babies that take my time, along with full-time working at the post office.
Hopefully things will calm down more for me to shoot more :)

Baby barn swallows on the brink of flying out on their own.
After how many dozens of times I've witnessed this on the farm, there's really something special about being able to share it with everyone. Barn swallows are so incredibly wonderful to the life on the farm. Witnessing them fledge, catch bugs, bank hard, harass hawks, eagles, and ravens, "be the support" in the larger ecosystem of our owls and other predatory birds, and just be little flying personalities, makes them amazing. Next to bats, they are the best mosquito control. Swallows rule.

"Be the support" means being "volun-told" to be food for these predatory birds. It sucks. But is also necessary.
