Good afternoon. Here’s some more shots from this morning’s sunrise at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park. There were lots of thick low clouds sitting on the horizon, so the sun never really broke through at first. But eventually the light found its way over the rocks and trees and gave everything a nice warm morning glow. A beautiful morning to get out and spend some time by the water. 🌞

Good morning. Here’s a sunrise shot from Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park this morning. 🌞
The water was almost completely calm and the early light was just starting to warm up the rocks and trees as the tide was coming in.

Good morning. Still going through pictures and recovering from my quick trip to Acadia this weekend. Due to all of my health stuff, even a short couple day trip like this takes quite a bit out of me. But I’m really grateful for everything I was able to see and do, and for getting out and making the trip happen.

These shots are from the Seawall Picnic area and just north. When I first got to the picnic area there were some people out exploring on the rocks and shore. Then these dark clouds rolled in with a passing shower. All the people started scurrying like little ants back to their cars and out of there. 😆

In the second shot you can see the shower I'm talking about just after it passed.

Good morning. After Sleeping in past sunrise on Saturday morning 🙃 I decided to go for a walk and ended up at Ship Harbor Trail. 🌲🌊

This was my first time exploring this trail (and area) and I ended up really liking it. The trail winds through the woods before opening up to the rocky shoreline with some beautiful views out over the water. Between the clouds moving through and all the different textures along the coast, there was a lot to stop and photograph, maybe even too much! 😆

After getting to Acadia on Friday, I found a nice campground, checked in, and took a walk down to the lighthouse where I saw a bunch of deer who payed no attention to all the signs or people. 😆
Around my house if the deer know you're even looking their way they will run! Not these boys - not a care in the world. 🦌

After a nice walk settling in and eating some lunch I then headed to grab a park pass and decided to check out Jesup Path. And I took the loop drive for a few scenic shots.

Good morning (even though it's 1:15pm here).😆 🌞

Friday morning I had a plan of getting up early and making it to Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse for sunrise. To make it for sunrise right now you might as well not even sleep! 😆
I was pretty late snapping my first picture around 5:45am. Either way it was a nice slow walk out to the lighthouse and back. It was a great way to start off my quick get away.

Good evening. I had a quick overnight get away and here's where I ended up - Bass Harbor Head Light Station. I did a little solo camping for the first time, which turned out to be lots of fun. I braved the crowds last night for sunset, snapped some shots then got out. I had plans on going back in the morning but ended up sleeping through my alarm! 🤦‍♂️🙃 I guess my camping setup was a little too cozy. 🤣
