Good morning! Here’s one from sunrise this morning at Winslow Park in Freeport. There was a beautiful mix of color in the sky just before and as the sun came over the horizon. So much beautiful light and perfect temps this morning!

On the left side of the frame is Pound of Tea Island. 🌞

Enjoy, and have a great day! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Good morning! Here’s another from yesterday morning at Five Islands. The sun finally made its way above the horizon and found an opening in the clouds, lighting up the water and the side of Five Islands Lobster Co. 🌞 I really liked how the wide (11mm) view captured so much of the scene, from the docks and boats to that incredible sky overhead.

Enjoy, and have a great day! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

One more from this morning at Five Islands. I got down nice and low and went super wide for this one, catching the morning sun just as it came across the dock. 🌞

Here’s another from my morning at Five Islands. I’ve seen photos of this old red boathouse and its reflection before, and this morning the tide was up and the water was just calm enough that I had to get one of my own. 🏠🌊

Good morning! Here’s another one from this morning’s sunrise at Five Islands. The sky really put on quite a show this morning! I ran into fellow photographer Greg Kretschmar Photography while I was there. We crossed paths once before while shooting this past winter. It was good to run into him again, and without frozen fingers! πŸ˜† 🌞

Good morning! Here’s one from sunrise this morning at Five Islands. When I left the house, I wasn’t 100% sure where I was going to end up. I knew I wanted to head north, so I set the GPS for Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, then contemplated going to Popham Beach instead. While crossing the bridge from Bath, I made a last-minute decision to head to Five Islands in Georgetown. πŸ˜† I’m sure all of my choices this morning would have been awesome, but I’m glad I ended up where I did! 🌞

Enjoy, and have a great day! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Good morning! Here’s another from last night at Land’s End on Bailey Island. The sunset was pretty quiet, with just a little color making its way through along the horizon. Still a beautiful view and nice evening to be there and take it all in. πŸŒ₯

Good evening! Here's tonight's sunset, caught from the car while we were driving through Bailey Island. I wasn't driving, of course. πŸ˜‰ I spotted the sun peeking through the clouds and managed to catch this shot through the window as we went by. Not too bad for 1/250 of a second at 77mm from a moving car! πŸš— πŸ“Έ

Enjoy, and have a great weekend! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Good afternoon! A few last shots from Monday morning at Old Orchard Beach. I saved these because they show something that has really changed for me as a photographer. I used to wait for people to get out of my shot, and sometimes way back when I'd even remove them afterward in Lightroom. Now I find myself getting excited when someone walks into the scene. πŸ˜†

The photos without anyone in them are beyond beautiful on their own, but I don't think you really notice what a person can add until you see the same scene both ways. I still usually prefer them to be small or silhouetted rather than the main subject, but somehow that little human element adds so much life and feeling to the image. I thought these were a pretty cool example of that.

Enjoy! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Good morning! Here are a few more from Old Orchard Beach Monday morning. I think I could probably keep posting photos from this sunrise for a while! πŸ˜† Everywhere I turned seemed to give me another completely different view, and for a while there the entire beach seemed to be glowing.
I had a lot of fun working my way around the pier and seeing how many different compositions I could find as the sun came up. 🌞

Enjoy, and have a great day! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
