I love the aquaculture community. Some of the best peeps making great things happen. Epic shucking contest. Amazing, innovative, disruptive, electric workboat concept developed by a collection of collaborative New England Ocean Cluster friends on display. The Maine Oyster Festival may have been a big event in a small town tucked up here in northeastern-most corner of the US, but for sure these people are having a global impact. I am thankful to be in their company and in position to support.

There has been a lot of gorgeous content coming out of this year’s kelp harvest, so I thought I would join the fun and post one of my favorite shots from last year’s farm visit with . I LOVE this shot because it so clearly shows how a simple modification to a commercial lobster vessel can ready it for harvesting kelp. Cheers to all the farmers working hard this spring to bring massive volumes to shore, and to the ASF team for supporting this operational diversification! Stoked!
