this weekend was a reminder that the best parts of owning a business are the ones that happen when you’re not working in it. i unplugged, i spent my time with the people i love, and i didn’t think about my to do list once.

it’s easy to say yes to everything when you work for yourself. but you can’t pour from an empty cup, and nobody else is going to fill it for you.

so be intentional with your time. put the phone down. choose the people and the moments that fill you up. the business will still be here when you get back.
