First one from our second day in Death Valley National Park, 3/2026. It was a bit windy in the morning, so there was sand obscuring the view in the distance. I was so impressed with this park and all the vibrant colors and amazing landscapes - definitely one of the top national parks on my list!

Hiking the Fire Wave and White Domes Loop Trails in Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada. So many colorful formations!

One of the most dramatically colorful and interesting landscapes we've seen in our travels. The Fire Wave sandstone formation was really wild with the red, white and pink swirls resembling ocean waves, and the White Domes Loop treated us to views of more colorful sandstone and slot canyon sections. First batch from Valley of Fire State Park in southern Nevada, absolutely beautiful park that rivals some of the national parks I've seen! If you are anywhere near Vegas, definitely worth a visit! Lots more photos coming!

Red Rock National Conservation Area, Nevada, 3/2026. Hiked the Calico Tanks Trail that meanders through a wash before ascending sandstone slabs and a bit of a scramble that rewarded us with a view of the Las Vegas valley and Las Vegas in the distance! If you are in the Vegas area, definitely worth a visit!
