A juvenile female peregrine wandered into the wrong part of town! Odin, our latest male, makes damn sure that everyone around knows whose territory this is now.

Oh hey everyone! Been a minute since I posted a photo. I don't think I ever posted this picture of a really pretty tree in Bishop so...here it is. 😁

I've been a little slow to bother sharing anything lately, or capturing anything for that matter. Hope everyone's doing well out there!

Red-tailed hawk with an excellent vantage point. What you can't see is that this post in in a field of otherwise short grass where the hawk's eyesight can be easily utilized. That is, if the crows don't have anything to say about it. Crows frequently harass Red-tails to keep them away from their territory.

This owl LOVED its portrait taken...despite its face...😆

These little guys just seem to have such strong feelings of anxiousness all the time, it's funny to see. Wish there were more closer to me because I could watch them all day.

Old catalog gems:

I had to check an old Lightroom catalog out and I found a bunch of photos I don't think I ever posted anywhere. This was from 2020 just as I was able to be mobile again after a motorcycle accident. It certainly helped me stay sane through the almost year and a half long process of full(ish) recovery.

Anyway here's a picture of a Sandpiper(right?) taking a little nap...😊

Great Egret gliding through the morning light.

I woke up very early to drive down to see the burrowing owls at sunrise. Apparently they like to sleep in...😤 The egrets gave me something else to catch while waiting for the little sleepyheads to get hungry enough to come out.

It can fly...why does it look so ANGRY!?

Burrowing owls are just always inherently angry looking and it makes me laugh. I took these a couple weeks ago and am just getting around to sharing them. Be on the look out for the YouTube video from the second day!
