Photo shoot Tips Vol.207

1: Communicate with your photographer ! We have a vision as an artist but we also don't want to miss a shot you've seen and thought would look good or something you wanted to try! Let us know because at the end of the day we want YOU to be happy.

2: Motion is EVERYTHING! please don't stand still and STIFF. Go look at any image that really speaks to you.. usually there is a dress flowing or hair moving, legs in between a step.. smiles from a joke that was shared... This isn't 1998 prom lol

3: TRUST THE"WEIRD POSES: ".. lean forward.. Tip backward.. Push you head forward..etc" we are helping you in the end lol TRUST US

Bonus : Share your photographers work! It's easy to do .. Low energy ⬇️HIGH IMPACT ⬆️ our BEST CUSTOMERS come from referrals or someone seeing our work and seeing someone they trust promoting it!

Every family has a story… and this one was beautiful to witness.

From the quiet in-between moments to the laughter that came so naturally, Jeremy, Lexi, and Lane brought the kind of love and connection that makes photography feel less like work… and more like preserving something meaningful.

There are kisses... and then there are the moments right before them.

The anticipation.

The closeness.

The feeling that after all the roads traveled, all the chapters lived, you've finally found the person you've been searching for all along.

Here are some photoshoot insight for clients:
1: You do not have a "Bad Side".. LET'S JUST GET THAT OUT OF THE WAY lol You are perfect!

2: Please don't POSE .. you will be guided into a position then interact within that position.. Make silly faces to your kids..tell your S.O. how hot they are in their ear 🥵 🔥.. point is have fun!

3: Kids are Kids....not Delta Force tranied German shepherds🤣.. I do not expect absolute perfection from your children..i expect to see them be exactly who they are and those make for the best images!! You'll thank me later 😂

4: Have a goal for YOUR shoot. Think of your home, the colors, the mood. What rooms will these images be in. Do you want black and whites... So you want super warm rich tones? Do you want light and airy Blues and greens? What about VIBRANT REDS AND ORANGES? let's talk BEFORE the shoot and make sure you get EVERYTHING EXACTLY the way YOU WANT!

Coming from a military family, I have always had a deep respect for those who answer the call to serve.

My mother served in the Air Force, my uncle served in the Army, and my grandfather served in the Army as well. Their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to something greater than themselves helped shape the way I see the world today.

Because of that, I've always had a special appreciation for the men and women who put on a uniform and serve others. Whether it's our military members, first responders, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, or healthcare professionals, these individuals often put the needs of others before their own.

This July, I'd like to give back in a small way by honoring those heroes and the families who stand beside them.

Honestly… I’m overwhelmed in the best way.

Thank you to every single person who has booked a session, shared a post, liked a photo, commented encouragement, tagged a friend, referred my name, or simply supported SMH Photography in any way. Every interaction means more than you know.

What started as a passion for capturing moments has continued to grow because of this incredible community, and I truly don’t take that for granted.

Getting to freeze memories for your families, couples, businesses, and milestones is something I’ll never stop being grateful for.

June is officially FULLY BOOKED, and I’m walking into this month feeling incredibly thankful, humbled, and excited for every session ahead.
