Incredibly grateful for this one!

Life for me looks a lot different than it has in years past. Hunting time has drastically decreased, but with good reason. Taking a look at the schedule for this season, I knew I would have 2 Saturdays, and 2 half day Sundays to try and get it done. Today was my last day.

It’s just over 500 miles from my house to the place we stay at. Putting in well over 2000 miles to only hunt 3 days in total may seem crazy to some, but I love it out here.

Thankful for the memories with my dad and to all those that were rooting for me this season!

The perfect reset.

First rip out West for mule deer this year and it didn’t disappoint. Had a great opportunity yesterday evening but a minor mistake cost me.

Talking with our contacts out here and CWD has taken a major toll on the already dwindling herd this year in Kansas.

Kansas is such a special place and I’m proud to call it home, but our native species such as pheasant, quail, turkey, and now my beloved mule deer are struggling. I won’t pretend like I have all the answers, but can only share my perspective.

So I guess I’m asking, what can we do?
