Our community has been hit very hard this week with rain and flooding. Our hearts go out to you, and know our group and chamber members are working hard helping to coordinate and do what they can.

We know the flooding started early this morning, and we know a lot of our community is dealing with the rain, rising water, and road conditions. First and foremost, please stay safe and don’t take any chances getting out.

If you’re able to safely make it to town, The Colony is here and our doors are open. We’ve got the kitchen fired up and plenty of good food waiting for you!

Please stay safe. Remember your resources for safety. Keep all of our first responders and hospital workers in mind today as they work tirelessly to help those in need ❤️

🚨 PLEASE DON’T DRIVE THROUGH HIGH WATER

We don’t issue warnings about high water simply to inconvenience you. We issue them for several very important reasons.

The fact is, you don’t know what is happening underneath that water. The roadway could be washed out, damaged, or completely gone.

Don’t believe us? Let us show you a picture of Mill Creek Road following this morning’s flooding.

What may look like a few inches of water can become extremely dangerous in a matter of seconds.

PLEASE USE CAUTION. If you encounter high water, TURN AROUND — DON’T DROWN. 🌊🚔
