After six years, this is the FIRST time I have ever been able to film wolves in Yellowstone with my camera because they weren't a million miles away.
Two separate wolf encounters in one incredible week. Back in Yellowstone, July 2026 and the wildlife did not disappoint.
First sighting was in Lamar Valley — the classic spot, for good reason. Spotted a lone wolf working the ridge, doing what wolves do. Hard to describe that feeling when you finally see one through the lens.
Second one was completely unexpected — near Phantom Lake, a totally different setting. Quiet, moody, felt like I wasn't supposed to be there but the wolf didn't seem to mind. I know the video gets a little shaky, but I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos.
Two sightings in seven days. Yellowstone is something else.
