Here are some photos that follow the patriotic theme(to varying degrees). Several of the photos are composites.

(06-05-26) Out on the Fish Springs range, the horses had been calmly grazing until th noise of a motorcycle suddenly spooked them. They took off towards the opposite end of the valley and the waterhole. Little Applejack was running right along with the rest of them.
I was photographing them from a hill to the west of the main road. They were pretty far away.

There’s an art show at the CVIC hall in Minden this weekend. There will be numerous photographers ( several from the CV Photo Club)and artists showing and selling their work.
Attached are the photos that I entered in the show.
I also have small photos in the “Minor Master Pieces” part of the show, along with work from other photographers and artists. These items are $75 and under.
Come by and see all the talent of local artists and photographers. The reception is Saturday evening. Light refreshments will be served.

(06-05-26) Pt.1 There were 40 to 50 wild horses on the Fish Springs Range at the south end of the valley. They were looking healthy and peacefully grazing for awhile. Our guests thought they were beautiful. It was a great afternoon!

Here’s a few highlights of my birding adventure on Monday at the eagle nest in Washoe Valley. (06-03-26)
Mom had been encouraging her young one but she felt the need to leave the nest.
Pop was on the other side of the road. He watched her fly away and he just stayed where he was keeping an eye on the nest.

Hot air for Hope this morning again presented a rainbow of colorful hot air balloons for viewers to enjoy. Due to unfavorable wind conditions, the balloons did not ascend to the air but were inflated to create a beautiful scene in Gardnerville. (05-17-26)
