Y’all (I say ya’ll now since I’m in the south-ish). BUT YA’LL. HAILEY. she came, she wore the fur, she brought the red roses, and she absolutely did not come to play (okay, maybe a little). She sent me a vibe and she showed up for it. Don’t worry, the fur is fake. She’s an animal/earthy girly like me

I started posing her, and Hailey said "say less" (not literally but you get the ‘PICTURE’) and then proceeded to be one of the most gorgeous, dramatic, editorial humans I've ever had in front of my camera.

So this is NOT my usual vibe and I am FULLY obsessed with how it turned out?? Hailey walked in and immediately became a whole entire editorial. fur coat, red bottom heels, a bouquet of roses, and a look that could stop traffic — she did ALL of that effortlessly. Hailey you are a phenomenon and I am so lucky I get to point a camera at you 🖤🌹

THESE TWO. Actual soulmates. No question.

They showed up ready—outfits, props, energy… AND CONNECTION. Their chemistry was out of this world, which just makes my job so much easier.

And yes, Megan Benjamin probably texted me 200 times about outfits beforehand—but honestly? I LOVE THAT. When you care that much, it always shows. The intention, the excitement, the trust in the process—it all comes through in the photos. (And choosing the right photographer to vibe with)

Megan and Jaquan just radiate something real. The way they love each other is effortless and loud in the quietest ways. They’re kind, funny, grounded, and the kind of people you leave feeling better for having met.

This session felt easy. Natural. Like everything just clicked.
My only complaint? I’m not the one photographing their wedding this month (already booked up but so excited to see their wedding photos!)

It's Thirsty Thursday!! Think we're too old for that?!? We'll we are!!! But I was really thirsty during Sarah and Lyle's wedding cause it was pretty hot that day. It still counts.

I HATE HOW PERFECT THIS WEDDING WAS. Like, a backyard wedding on a family compound SHOULD NOT be this magical, right? But it was. And here's the funny thing...there were a lot of imperfections. Bridesmaids spilled on dresses, groom was right in the sun during the ceremony, mosquitos were biting up a storm during bridal party & bridals, family photos were stressful. BUT HERE'S THE KICKER. It was still perfect. Those little "imperfections" are minor, and long forgotten when it comes to forever (okay that was cheesy but at least this wasn't written with AI).

Also, fun alert – bury a bottle of whiskey! Burying a bottle of bourbon (or whiskey) is a Southern tradition meant to ensure good weather on a wedding day, often done by burying an unopened bottle upside down at the venue exactly one month before the wedding. The couple digs it up and drinks away (like Sarah did immediately) 🤣

Some wedding days feel prepared, some mismanaged… and some feel like someone slipped a little magic into the day and just let it run wild ✨

Hope + Ian didn’t just get married—they built a whole little world where magic was real and their love was LOUD.

This one hit different for me. Photographing a love story at Meyer's Castle—the same place I was bussing tables at 15, where I had my first job, and accidentally dropped a hot plate of spaghetti on a kid. That's a full circle moment right there.

Like… barefoot and sandy, hair EVERYWHERE, running like you forgot anyone else exists, laughing mid-kiss and everywhere in between.

BECAUSE LOVE IS RAW.
It’s messy, electric, soft, chaotic, quiet, loud, weird, bold—and it deserves to be captured exactly as it is.

P.S. If I could live on this beach, I would. But I’m too bougie and A/C is a necessity, not a luxury. Also…bacon. ‘Nuff said.

My very first North Carolina wedding and honestly… what a ridiculously cute way to start this new chapter. 💛

Coming from Chicago, I fully expected February to greet me with gray skies, sleet, and some sort of dramatic weather situation. Instead, Raleigh gave me this sweet little love story on February 13, and I’m still not over it.

Ramzi & Megan did something that absolutely melted my heart: their very first kiss ever as a couple happened as Mr. and Mrs.

Yes. Their first. Ever.

And let me tell you… the moment that ceremony ended, the floodgates OPENED. These two could not stop kissing each other for the rest of the day. Every time I turned around — another kiss. Another hug. Another “we can’t believe this is real” moment.

14-year-old me would’ve been dramatically gagging in the corner.
30-year-old me? Fully crying behind the camera because it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Ramzi & Megan are the living definition of “when you know, you know.”

And trust me — the second I met them, the chemistry was absolutely spilling everywhere. The kind of love that fills a room, makes everyone smile, and reminds you why weddings are so special in the first place.

My first North Carolina wedding… and if this is how we’re starting, I have a feeling I’m going to love it here. ✨

AHHH I've been dying to share these. From high school art class to a wedding that looked like it was styled straight out of a dream — Emi always knew how to create magic, and this day was no exception. 🎨

A vine-covered “greenhouse” (only cause it was green, and in the shape of a house), colorful florals everywhere, a live painter capturing the moment in real time, and a dance floor that absolutely stayed alive. 💃🕺

It only made sense that a lifelong creative would throw a wedding this well-planned, this intentional, and this full of soul. I couldn’t be more honored to witness (and photograph) a night that surely made lovin’ fun. 🪩✨🍃💎🪬

I figured some of us have been missing the sun, and you all should know by now that the sun is one of my best-friends when photographing ANYTHING. These two brought all the light, love, and laughter on their wedding day. Now, I don't mean to brag or anything, but since moving to NC – almost every day has been full of sunshine. So I cannot wait to work with Mr. Sun more. BUT to say a few more words about these precious sweet spicy tacos, the way that Krista looks at her husband, can make a turtle come out of its shell.
