Happy birthday to my dear baby sister! Not so baby anymore 😭 so glad I was able to capture your special day during the pandemic last year. Wish we were able to celebrate together this year. One of my favorite things about photography is being able to share the joy of shooting and the experience of making the photos with my son Ezra. We’ve been pretty attached since Asher was a baby (ok, before that too :p). Since Asher usually needed my wife to take care of him, if it was alright, I’d take Ezra as frequently as it made sense...and even though it makes it harder at times to have him along (on my shoulders shooting) it’s totally worth it. When it’s like this, never feels like a job. Photos really have that way of bringing those feelings back, almost in the way of time travel- and I love it, and love what I do.

This is my first born, Ezra. Today, he turned 4. I’m so amazed at the boy he’s already become- kind, caring, fun-loving, and all around just a delight to be around. I love spending all the time I can with him. I’m stunned at how much kids absorb, whether it be books, tv shows, things you say, or things you do. Ezra by proxy of seeing me take photos for others will voluntarily also request for my cameras to take photos of things and people (like his cousin). Which of course is so endearing ...and terrifying, that he’s paying this much attention to everything I do. I’m so thankful for you, Ezra! You make me proud to be your father every day. Happy birthday, son...I love you! 💙💙💙💙
