FAMILY.
Merry Christmas To All my Family near and far.
This evening was a well spent time with part of my Family, with thoughts of those special to me that are so far away, Thoughts of those we have lost. Those who have passed on too whom we dearly missed brings sad thoughts and great memories. Then the ones who just live far away, where time n life prevents them from being here and/or us being there.
I dearly miss my father and sister. They have been in my thoughts much of the last couple of weeks.
I dearly miss my kids n grandkids. It has been way too long since I have seen them. When family is spread out so far there’s no right or wrong place to live. I was fortunate and blessed to be where I have been over the last couple of years, to be close and spend some time with my father, Donald L Holman, and sister, Dina Holman Gebhart, they passed. At the expense of being miles away from my daughter, sons and grandchildren.
My two sons Eric and Toby, I raised since they were young boys n me just barely an adult. They are my boys n I am proud of the men they have become.
My daughter has been through a lot some of which I was close enough to help. Meghan has been a blessing. Blessed to still have her here from a close call years ago.
She is my heart. Her daughter Destiny is so special to me. I remember her laying on my chest as a baby going off to sleep on me while we both slept a while. I dearly miss you Dezi. I miss William my grandson, I haven’t spent much time with him yet he barely knows his grandpa.
Oh we can’t for get Morgan ( Toby’s daughter) such an adorable young girl when I last saw her.
My brother Ronald Holman the oldest of us kids. I have still not made it to meet his wife and 3 sons. Family all over the place.
My brother and I,Being US Military Veterans took us away from home and often as it does Vets take roots far from home and family, to start their own families.
Family is so important and a responsibility to at least try and stay in touch with. It’s so much easier today than it was in 1982 when it took lots of quarters and a pay telephone to call home.
I love my family.
Tonight was a treat and fun. Time well spent in the company of family.

God sure did bless me with a HUGE LOVING FAMILY
So yes FAMILY IS ON MY MIND.
