Hello Cape Cod!!! I’m your Fast CAT photographer for the Cranberry Cluster this week 🫶🏻

There’s a few things I want you to know!

First of all, get on my email list! I have business cards at the event and will post photo updates to Facebook BUT email is the most reliable way to know when your photos are ready! You can sign up here: https://charlottewithdogs.myflodesk.com/zh1rfz0kks

As far as actual photos go, I have a few tips:

• Stand back from the finish line!!! This is the number one best thing you can do for your photos. If your dog needs you to be close to the finish line, try running backwards further into the catch pen when they get about halfway down the track. When you stand close to the catch pen, I have to crop your photos more and you see a loss of quality. Plus your dog will probably run faster if you stand back!

• Don’t stand in front of me — either stand behind me on the same side as me, or on the opposite side of me. If you are in front of me on the same side, I will probably be taking photos of your legs and not your dog 😂

• Tell me ahead of time if your dog likes to grab the bag at the end! Bag grab shots are super fun, but I usually have to back up a little ways to get them. If you give me a heads up, I’m more likely to get the shots!

**Please note that Wine Country recently made a post about not allowing ringside photographers unless they made prior arrangements with show chairs. Don't worry, I've been working on this for a while, and have made those arrangements and paid the vendor fee! Following the rules is important to me, and if a show is on my schedule, you can trust that I have worked it out with the appropriate parties ahead of time 🙂

The IWALE - Irish Wolfhound Association of Lake Erie Specialty photos will be available tomorrow!

If you’re curious about the editing process, I live streamed my editing last night, and the replay is available! IWALE is going quickly because there are fewer photos than most of my events, and the light was consistent all day, so there’s a lot less color and temperature correction necessary.

This was such a fun event and I am enjoying the photos. And for the time being, here’s a picture of my cute and naughty editing partner 🫶🏻

Happy “Bio Birthday” to Ginsburg!

Ginsburg’s official birthday was yesterday because the rest of her siblings were born on September 5th and that’s the registered birthdate of the litter. But she was the youngest and was born shortly after midnight, so her “biological birthday” is the 6th.

She was one of a kind from the very beginning 🧡

It’s hard to believe Ginsburg is six because I picked her up yesterday and she was only 8 weeks.

I thought I was lucky to get one once-in-a-lifetime dog. Then I got you and realized I had two.

Thank you for being the best little sis and best big sis ever. Thank you for never giving up on me, for your adaptability, intuition, and enthusiasm.
