Just a mom and her daughters choosing to slow down and celebrate the family they’ve built together.

My favorite moments weren’t the perfectly posed portraits—they were the laughter in between. The teasing, the inside jokes, and the smiles that came naturally.

Those are the memories that only become more valuable with time.

When should you start preparing for your wedding?

My biggest tip is simple:

Don’t save everything for the last week.

Spreading out your wedding prep means less stress and more time to actually enjoy your day.

A few reminders:
• Book your hair & makeup trial a month before.
• Break in your wedding shoes.
• Pack your details the night before.
• Eat breakfast on your wedding morning.

The goal isn’t to have a perfect timeline.

It’s to be present enough to remember it.

Some moments only last a few seconds…

Months before this day, he reached out to me with a plan.

We talked through the timeline, picked the perfect spot, and waited for the moment she’d walk in with absolutely no idea what was about to happen.

When he dropped to one knee, everything else disappeared.

The tears.
The smile she couldn’t hold back.
The look on his face as he finally got to ask the question he’d been waiting months to ask.

Those are the moments I love documenting.

Not because they’re perfectly posed…

But because they’ll never happen exactly the same way again.

Meet Nick, Emily & Scottlyn.

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this sweet family through so many milestones.

From Nick and Emily’s engagement…
To holiday photos…
And now watching them become parents.

They actually met while working at the fire department, and I always smile thinking about how a place built around serving others became the place where they found each other.

This session felt less like taking family photos and more like catching up with old friends.

Watching Scottlyn giggle as she explored the grass, held onto her parents’ hands, and soaked in the summer evening was a reminder that these little seasons never stay little for long.

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to come back—not just once, but again and again—as families grow.

It’s an honor to preserve these chapters, and I can’t wait to see what the next one holds for them. ❤️‍🔥
