I’m so excited (and a little bit emotional) to share that
Cassie Drake Photography has officially become Gathered Light Photography. 🤍
After losing my mom, photographs took on an entirely new meaning for me. They were no longer just images. They became pieces of her. Small moments of light I could return to. Memories that reminded me that love does not end, even when someone is no longer physically here.
That loss changed the way I see time and moments. It slowed everything down and taught me to notice what I once rushed past. The quiet mornings, the ordinary days that become extraordinary in memory. It made me more aware of how meaningful even the simplest moments can be, and how important it is to preserve them.
When my family was gathered together, especially in moments with my mama, there was always warmth. Whether it was around a table, during holidays, or in the rhythm of everyday life, there was laughter, comfort, and connection.
That togetherness was and still is, the light.
Gathered Light represents all of this.
The love we share.
The moments that matter.
The memories that deserve to be held onto.
It’s the understanding that what we gather together becomes what we carry forward. What will ultimately become our guiding light, long after the moment has passed.
This rebrand is not just a change in name, but a reflection of my heart and my growth. It marks a season of intention. A season of continuing to learn, to refine my craft, and to grow as a storyteller so I can better serve the families and individuals who trust me with their memories.
With every session, I strive to capture more than just a photograph. I want to preserve feeling. Connection. The love found in a glance, a laugh, a simple smile.
Through my work, I hope to honor the legacy my mama gave me, by helping others hold onto their own pieces of light, that will carry them through for years to come.
Same photographer.
Same heart.
A new name rooted in remembrance, growth, love, and a future filled with gathered light. 🤍
Thank you for being part of this next chapter with me.
