Location scouting is one of the most overlooked parts of planning a photo session, but it can make all the difference.

The right location does more than provide a pretty backdrop. It affects lighting, privacy, accessibility, colors, and the overall feeling of your images. A location that looks beautiful in person may photograph completely differently depending on the time of day, season, or weather.

Before every session, I take time to scout locations so I can find the best light, avoid crowded areas, and create a setting that fits your story. Whether it’s a mountain overlook, a quiet field, downtown streets, or a hidden lakeside spot, choosing the right location helps turn good photos into unforgettable ones.

Trust me when I say: the location matters more than you think. ✨
