STOP doing this in photos if you hate your double chin 😅👇

If you’ve ever looked at a photo and thought
“why does my face look like that??”

…this is probably why.

It’s not you. It’s the angle.

Here’s the quick fix I teach every mom in front of my camera:

✨ Melt → Push → Tilt ✨

1. Melt the shoulder closest to the camera DOWN
(no tensing, no shrugging—just soften it)

2. Push your chin slightly forward
(yes, it feels weird… do it anyway 😅)

3. Then bring your forehead slightly down
(not your whole head—just a tiny tilt)

That’s it.

It takes 2 seconds and makes a HUGE difference.

If you’re wondering how we get those sleepy, squishy newborn poses… it’s not magic 🤍 (okay… maybe a little ✨)

It’s actually all in the prep—and I promise, I’ve got you covered.

Here are my go-to tips to help your baby settle into that deep, dreamy sleep for your studio session:

• Feed baby right before you arrive (a full belly = a sleepy baby 💤)

• Keep baby awake 30 minutes–1 hour beforehand (based on age!)

• Dress baby in a loose sleeper so we don’t have to wake them changing outfits

• Skip lotions & creams (they can make baby slippery and affect posing!)

• A warm bath before you come can help keep them nice and awake beforehand

• Add in a little tummy time to gently tire them out

All of these little things make such a big difference in creating those calm, cozy moments you see in my work 🤍

And don’t forget—your newborn session is so much more than just baby alone.
