Senior season is in full swing!

-If you need to schedule your senior session, now is the perfect time to get on the calendar. We have morning and some early-afternoon appointments available for July, but all evening sessions are full at this point unless we have a cancellation. August evenings are taken as well until mid- to the end of August.

**If you are in a sport or activity that keeps you super busy, especially once school starts, it is SUPER important to not wait until the last minute to schedule your session, especially if you are going to require a weekend date. *

-Fall dates are always some of the most popular sessions of the year. If you're hoping for an October session with those beautiful fall colors, I recommend scheduling now since we typically book several months in advance.

And don't forget — our Senior Sale ends June 27th! This will be the last sale we have on senior sessions for a while, besides a pop-up here or there, so make sure not to miss it!

We’re starting something BIG over here… 😅

This post will be the first of many on this subject… lol
The Great Proof, Negative & Digital File Cleanout of 2026 is officially happening.

After 30 years of holding onto things for our clients, we’re finally going through everything and finishing what we started in 2024. 🤪We simply can’t keep storing it all anymore.

This time, we are starting with weddings!

I'll update this post with names later, but I wanted to start with sharing these photos of weddings that we still have negatives and 4x6 proofs of. If you see yourself, please send us a message! If you see someone you know, feel free to tag them or share the post! We would love to see this post shared many times!!

I have reached out to some couples I could find through facebook, but if we are not "friends," sometimes those messages end up in the message request folder and are never seen, so if you are one of our wedding couples, check your Facebook messages.

If you’re interested in purchasing your wedding negatives and/or proofs, PLEASE reach out. Send us a message here or email us at [email protected], send a message to our website obscuraphotographystudio.com or text 937-855-3771.

If you’re not interested, that is completely fine too — we just ask that you let us know either way so we can feel okay DISPOSING of them. That does sound harsh, but that is what will happen since we can't hold onto these any longer.

And just as a reminder, negatives are incredibly valuable to have. If anything ever happens to your original prints, albums, or wall portraits, the negatives are the only way to reproduce those images. We’ve had clients over the years deal with floods and fires, and because we still had their negatives, we were able to reprint their memories for them. The 4x6 proofs are great since only so many photos could fit into an album and there are alot of good memories in these photos.
