I went on an early morning mission to photograph a kingfisher but it was a bust. Instead I was graced with this moment to share a space with a turkey vulture looking over an empty pond. They’re magnificent birds that get a lot of hate but they’re one of our most important birds. They’re natures biohazard crew and they do a great job of that. 13/10 experience. Would hang out with a vulture again.

Last week we went to go look for burrowing owls and I realized I had some shots that I looked over. These two owls we were looking at seemed pretty neutral to human presence, however we maintained a respectful distance. It’s not often we can see them this close and really study how beautiful these creatures are. 12/10 🌟 experience.
