Still using legacy analog cameras in your system?

Many NTSC/PAL CVBS cameras are still reliable, proven, and already deployed across security, industrial inspection, transportation, machine vision, robotics, and embedded systems.

The challenge is that modern AI platforms like NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi 5 do not accept analog video directly.

Our latest blog looks at how an NTSC/PAL to MIPI CSI-2 Bridge Board can help convert standard CVBS composite video into a MIPI CSI-2 signal for embedded AI vision workflows.

This can help engineers modernize existing camera systems without automatically replacing every camera in the field.

Some cameras remain useful long after their original release because they continue to solve real integration challenges.

We refreshed our Sony FCB-ER8530 blog with updated information on how this 4K zoom block camera fits into today’s surveillance, inspection, robotics, UAV, and embedded vision applications.

The FCB-ER8530 offers 4K imaging, 20x optical zoom, Super Resolution Zoom, and a compact block camera form factor. With the right HDMI/4K to MIPI CSI-2 bridge solution, it can also support modern embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi 5.

The STC-HD213DV maintains usable image data in low-light conditions where many cameras break down.

Built around the Sony IMX291, it delivers stable 1080p60 output without needing perfect lighting or added complexity.

If your system struggles in real-world environments, this is one worth looking at.

When the STC-HD213DV comes up, it's usually because something isn't working, often in low-light settings where image quality breaks down.

Most vision systems don’t fail because of software — they fail because the image data isn’t clean to begin with.

The VCC-8U101C / VCC-8U051C cameras use Clairvu™ processing to handle noise, exposure, and color at the source — before it ever hits your pipeline.

If you're working on robotics, UAV, or inspection systems, this is worth understanding:

Choosing the wrong machine vision camera doesn’t just impact image quality—it can break your entire system.

From motion blur in robotics to missed defects in high-speed inspection, the camera is where most problems start.

In this new breakdown, we walk through the full Vieworks machine vision lineup—including Area Scan, Line Scan, and TDI Line Scan—and where each one actually fits in real-world applications.

If you're working in:
✔ Robotics & automation
✔ UAV / drone imaging
✔ Industrial inspection
✔ Defense & surveillance

This is worth a read.
