16 years ago, the moment I held this baby girl in my arms, I fell in love in an instant. She was my mini best friend, always by my side when we were together, and I cherished every single moment of it. All my college friends knew exactly who she was because I couldn’t stop talking about her.
When Will and I started dating, I think he was more nervous about meeting this 2-year-old than the rest of my family—he knew if Marlee didn’t like him, it would be a problem!
Now she’s 16, and I can’t believe how fast time has flown. Growing up, I admired her mama so much and prayed I could one day step into the same role her mom was to me. Watching Marlee now be that same influence to my girls is nothing short of amazing.
