Iām excited to share that I recently received my Wisconsin DNR Guide License.
While my main focus is hunting photography, I wanted to take the extra step to make sure Iām properly licensed and knowledgeable so I can safely be present on hunts without getting in the way or creating any risk.
Iāve spent over 10 years tagging along on hunts with my family and my partner, which has taught me a lot about how hunts operate. Respecting shooting lanes, knowing when to step back, and making sure both hunters and hounds can do what theyāre there to do safely is extremely important to me.
I still have plenty to learn, like anyone in the woods, but taking this step felt like the right way to show that safety and respect for the hunt always come first when Iām documenting it.
I also want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out, supported what Iām doing, and shared my name with fellow hunters. That kind of support truly means a lot.
Iām really looking forward to capturing more authentic moments in the woods this season.
