Prom is always a special time for the kids but when it's their last one, it's even more so. So proud of my grandsons and so excited for their future.
I was so blessed to capture these moments for them all ❤️

There’s just something about old barns… the way they stand through time, weathered but still strong, full of stories we’ll never fully know.
I’ve always loved photographing them—chasing that perfect light, that quiet moment, that feeling of history sitting still. Lately, I’ve found a new kind of joy… bringing them to life with paint instead of a camera.
This piece is a little bit of both worlds for me—my love of old places and the peace I feel creating them by hand.
I guess some things just stick with you… and barns are one of mine ❤️

I'm naming this one "Where the wind knows my name"

Whispers of Yesterday 🌾🏚️

I just put the finishing touches on my latest acrylic painting! This piece was inspired by a childhood memory of an old oak tree and the quiet, steady beauty of a country barn.
I’ve been working on getting the "mood" of the sky just right and experimenting with techniques to make the golden field feel like it’s actually moving in the breeze. There’s something so peaceful about a barn quilt tucked away in the landscape—it feels like a little piece of history watching over the fields.
I’m really proud of how the depth and atmosphere came together on this one. It’s amazing how a few brushstrokes can bring a memory back to life.

They say you can’t go back in time, but sometimes a paintbrush is the closest thing we have to a time machine. 🎨

This piece was inspired by the big, beautiful oak tree from my childhood. I can still see the old tire swing swaying in the shade, a permanent fixture of those long summer afternoons on the Nebraska prairie. While the swing in this painting is draped in vines and glowing in the sunset, the feeling is exactly the same—that sense of peace, play, and home.

I named this one "Memories in the Breeze "

I think this would be beautiful framed and hung in a child's room.

Cardinal of the Heart ✨
Just finished this peaceful winter piece featuring a bright red cardinal perched on snowy branches shaped like a heart. ❤️🐦
There’s something so special about cardinals in the winter — they always feel like a little reminder of love, warmth, and someone watching over us.
I loved creating the soft snowy branches and those tiny red berries against the cool blue sky. This one felt calm, cozy, and full of meaning while I
painted it.

He is Risen. ✝️🌅
I just finished this resurrection painting and I wanted to share it. The empty tomb, the three crosses, and the light of a new morning — a reminder of hope, faith, and new beginnings.
I tried to capture that quiet moment… when darkness gives way to light, and the path forward is filled with peace. The wildflowers, the sunrise, and the open tomb all symbolize life, renewal, and the promise that we are never without hope.
This one felt really special to paint. 💛

"He is not here; He has risen."

I named this one "The Dawn of Hope"

Just finished this little piece and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! 🌸

‘Whispers in Bloom’ captures the gentle dance of cherry blossoms in the spring breeze. I loved playing with the light, shadows, and soft colors to bring this peaceful moment to life.
