Things Photographers Hate (But Are Usually Afraid to Say Out Loud) 👀

• We hate when our images are screenshotted and posted instead of downloaded properly.

• We hate when our photos are edited, filtered, cropped, or altered without asking us for a re-edit first.

• We hate being haggled more than almost any other profession. Did you negotiate the price of your groceries this week? Probably not. 😅

• We hate how often photography is undervalued, even though we’re preserving memories you’ll never get back.

• We hate when you say, “I trust your vision,” but then ignore every bit of posing, outfit, location, time or lighting advice we give.

• We hate when clients show up late to their session. That time comes directly out of your gallery and experience.

• We hate when people ask for “just one more photo.” Those extra photos still require time to cull, edit, export, and deliver.

• We hate when someone says, “My friend has a camera and could do it cheaper.” You’re not just paying for a camera- you’re paying for experience, education, equipment, editing, insurance, and years of practice.

At the end of the day, photographers love what we do. We love serving our clients, creating art, and preserving memories. But these are the little things that make us quietly scream into the void. 😂

✨ MICHIGAN FRIENDS! ✨

A quick update on my travel schedule!

Unfortunately, my travel plans have changed and I will no longer be making a trip back to Michigan in late October/early November like I originally hoped. 💔

BUT I will still be in town for a limited time in August/September and have a few dates available for a few sessions!

📸 September 13th- 1 spot left

Sometimes the best photos come from the unexpected! ✨

We had to make a quick pivot with our location during this session, but honestly? It ended up being exactly what we needed. The light was dreamy, the scenery was perfect, and the final gallery felt even more magical than I originally imagined!

I just love that not everything goes according to plan and that’s okay. Sometimes the detours lead to the most beautiful moments 💕
