Photo(s) of the day, 06/08/2026: A vacant storefront located in the 2300 block of Broadway eastbound, Fair Lawn, was damaged early Monday afternoon, 06/08, when a 4-door Subaru Impreza Hatchback jumped a curb in the building's rear parking lot and slammed into an entrance way area. The vehicle's driver was uninjured in the mishap and damage to the vehicle itself did not appear to warrant the services of a tow truck. Fair Lawn PD and a Borough of Fair Lawn building inspector responded to the incident. Fair Lawn Police Department

Photo(s) of the day, 05/29/2026: A Friday morning, 05/29, incident in which a dump truck struck and pushed an Acura RDX along a stretch of Route 208 northbound in Fair Lawn, may mirror an incident that took place on Route 280 in Newark several days ago. In the Newark incident, the truck driver was unaware that the car was stuck to his bumper. Police at the scene in Fair Lawn were observed reviewing dash camera footage in the dump truck's cab to determine if its driver could see that the dark blue Acura was stuck on his bumper. Official word is expected to be provided later on Friday as to whether the truck driver knew he'd struck the Acura and was pushing it down the busy highway. No injuries were reported by either driver involved in the freak mishap. A tow truck removed the crumpled Acura from the scene. Damage to the dump truck was cosmetic in nature only. Fair Lawn PD responded to the crash, which was reported to them via numerous 911 calls from passing motorists. Fair Lawn Police Department
