Praying for Kauai right now. Hurricane Lowell did a number on it, with downed trees, damaged houses and most of the residents without power.

Kauai is pretty special to me and my wife as we honeymooned there in 2014 and returned in early 2020. Here are a few past photos from the Garden Island.

Hopefully power is restored soon and they can rebuild quickly.

Look what arrived this weekend? 2027 calendars! This year I will have two calendars to choose from:

It's officially September 1! If you're in part of the country like me that's still hovering in the low 100s daily, it might not feel like it, but scenes like this are only a few weeks away in the west. I can't wait to trade this hot weather for cool, crisp nights and fall colors!

Here's a couple from earlier this summer. I drove around Flathead Lake, which is near Glacier National Park, and came away with the famous Dupuis barn and the Mission mountains illuminated at sunset. Shortly after, I photographed this golden and orange sunset over Flathead Lake itself, looking back towards Glacier National Park. Montana is full of beauty at every angle. These are images that I hope to include in my next coffee table book.

I have really struggled to get out and photograph much this summer. It doesn't help that it's 100+ degrees almost every day here in Kansas lately! Hoping to get out and shoot the Flint Hills at some point this month. This is one from August a few years back up in the Manhattan area. It's still my best seller in Kansas, though a few others are getting closer!
