The Coastal Photographers Guild will hold its monthly meeting, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 615 Mallery Street, St. Simons Island, Georgia. Social begins at 6:00 p.m., meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Summer is the perfect time to take a family portrait on vacation or at family gatherings. Stephanie Conti, a Coastal Photographers Guild member, will discuss the dos and don’ts of how to take family and children portraits that are good enough for the refrigerator, holiday card, or even framed for the family portrait wall.
This engaging lecture explores how to photograph your family in ways that are both meaningful and visually compelling. Participants will learn techniques for capturing authentic moments, telling stories through images, and finding beauty in everyday interactions. From composition and lighting to creating emotional connections within a photograph, this session will provide practical tips for documenting family life with creativity, intention, and lasting impact.
