Archer chose a rural mountain setting for her senior portrait session last October. We started the shoot just over an hour before sunset and spent the rest of our time meandering around a private lake near her home in Gilpin County.

I had the pleasure of photographing this young lady's senior pictures back in October. We began the shoot at sunrise. It was a brisk morning and the sun peeked out just enough to capture a glistening glow on the Denver skyline. Afterwards, we headed over to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for a bit before finishing our session at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Each one of these location holds a special place in her heart, which made the photo shoot even more meaningful. Gilpin County Junior Senior Prom 2019 at the Clock Tower in Downtown Denver - Sechler Studios Photography

It has been a dream of mine to photograph an event at the Clock Tower venue in Downtown Denver. I always envisioned the event would be for a wedding or renewal ceremony but sometimes dreams turn out better than we imagine.

On April 26, 2019, I was invited to photograph the Gilpin County Junior Senior Prom… my first time photographing a prom, I might add! The evening was full of elegant gowns, young spirits dancing and laughing, and the twinkling lights of a brighter future. I want to thank the Junior Prom committee for allowing me to share in this memorable event. Congratulations to the seniors, Class of 2019!
