Spotted this beautiful coyote on the south most point of the Montaña de Oro State Park Bluff Trail on 01-22-22. I first spotted a 3-4 large bucks in a bachelor group a few hundred feet away with this coyote hiding near them in tall brush. It was hard to track, but it looked like the deer had chased the coyote off. I decided to continue down the trail and to my surprise the coyote was with 50 feet of me.

This was taken a few months back. The end of January is the peak of birthing season.
The viewing areas are located 90 miles south of Monterey, 5 miles north of Hearst Castle State Historical Monument in San Simeon, 1.5 miles south of Point Piedras Blancas.
