Casey at Elated Photography is such a talented photographer. I love how these images portray so much fun and creativity.

I am lucky enough that my clients call me back for special milestones and when Chanh and I sat down to plan this session I was BEYOND stoked. The best part about my job is getting to learn so much about people, whether it's their stories, their culture, their history and everything in between.

Chanh wanted to celebrate Vietnamese New Year (Tết) in a meaningful way, not just as a date on the calendar, but as a reflection of tradition, heritage, and new beginnings. He showed up wearing a beautiful red and gold áo dài, colors that symbolize luck, prosperity, and joy.

He brought the coolest things to work with for his photos! Then the wind decided to have its own opinion. We tried more than once to light the sparkler, but it just was not happening. (TikTok coming of behind the scenes 😆)

It ended up being the perfect reminder that new years don’t always start the way we plan, yet they still bring fresh hope, quiet joy, and endless possibility.
