Let's talk about "surprises" during your birth story!
A lot of times, I get asked, "What if baby comes earlier than your on-call period, or after? What happens then?"
Booking an experienced professional for your birth story means that alongside the knowledge of how to work a camera comes years of BIRTH experience.
Because documenting your birth story is FAR more than just clicking buttons. It's the mental gymnastics of interpreting the signs and signals your body is giving you leading up to the big day. It's working alongside your birthday team and understanding what they're saying, the implications of it, and being able to think a few steps ahead in order to prepare for getting you the best photos possible. Even when things get hectic.
Birth stories aren't just a job to me. I feel so honored that I get to bond with some truly amazing people on the most impactful days of their lives--I *live* those moments with you, even when things get hard.
So the answer to "What happens if...?" is always that I'm gonna SKKKRRRRT on over to you, wherever you are, at whatever time, if at all humanly possible. Cuz being an almost-auntie to half of the area's babies at this point is a pretty big deal to me. 🥹🫶
This little peanut may have had some curveballs to throw at his parents recently, but he's doing great - and I'm so proud of this whole family for rocking and rolling with the punches and making this guy the most loved little boy on the planet, from the second he was born!
