🐶 Meet Marshmallow!

Pictures are great…but sometimes you need to see a stuffie from ALL the angles. 😂

Marshmallow is one big, soft, chunky puppy—from his sweet little face right down to that wonderfully squishy belly. ❤️

He's about 12 inches tall, but that belly measures around 16 inches, so there's a whole lot of puppy here to hug. 🤣

Give him a little spin and take a look!

When Michelle asked me for 15 of these little guys, I think even I had a moment of, “Well...I'd better get crocheting!” 🤣🧶

And no, she's not hoarding F-Bombs. 😂 She's giving them to someone she knows—which somehow makes this order even more fun.

There's something pretty entertaining about sitting in Nana's Attic crocheting an entire BOX of F-Bombs and knowing they're all headed out to make somebody laugh. ❤️

Thank you, Michelle, for giving these silly little creations such a great send-off!

🧶 FROM THIS… TO THIS! 🛥️

This is one of my favorite things about crochet.

It starts with a few skeins of yarn and an idea in my head.

Then come the stitches. And the counting. And the frogging. And the “Nope…that isn't going to work.” 😂

With the Tugboat, there was plenty of figuring things out along the way—getting the shape right, adjusting the pieces, making sure everything fit together, and turning that idea in my head into something I could actually hold.

And eventually, those colorful skeins of yarn became THIS little Tugboat! 🛥️❤️

I think that's why I never get tired of crochet.

Yarn doesn't look like much sitting in a skein…but just look what it can become. 🧶❤️

One question I get asked is: “Nana, do you take custom orders?” 🧶

YES — depending on what you're looking for!

Maybe you love one of my stuffies but want it in a different color.

Maybe you're looking for a special animal I don't currently have.

Or maybe you have an idea that's a little...different. 😂

Those are some of my favorite conversations because sometimes they lead to creations I never would have thought to make on my own!

I can't promise that every idea is possible, and custom work depends on my schedule, materials and what you're asking me to create—but I'm always happy to hear the idea. ❤️

And today I'll be surrounded by a whole bunch of Nana's Attic creations at the Goose Creek Farmers Market!

Picking a favorite thing I've made is almost impossible…but this guy will always have a special place in Nana's Attic. ❤️

Meet Pterogon.

He didn't start with a crochet pattern.

He started with a child's drawing and imagination.

I was handed a picture of a creature that didn't exist anywhere except on a piece of paper—and somehow I had to figure out how to turn THAT into crochet. 😂🧶

There were no instructions telling me how many stitches to use. No pattern showing me where everything belonged. Just a drawing, some yarn and a whole lot of figuring-it-out-as-I-went.

And eventually...

Pterogon stepped off the paper and became real. ❤️

That's one of my favorite things about crochet. Sometimes I'm not simply making a stuffed animal.

I'm taking something that existed in someone's imagination and giving them something they can actually hold.

So yes...if you're going to make Nana choose a favorite, Pterogon is definitely way up there. 🥰

And just like that…CRAFT SHOW SEASON IS HERE! 🍂🧶

All those months of crocheting, designing, stuffing, sewing, tagging and wondering where in the world I'm going to PUT all these things are about to pay off. 😂

Saturday I'll be packing up Nana's Attic and heading out for the first market of my fall season!

This is the part of the year when the stuffies finally get out of the house, meet real people and—hopefully—a few of them find new homes. ❤️

Between now and then there will be inventory to organize, things to price, boxes to pack and at least one moment when I'm positive I've forgotten something important. 🤣

But I'm excited.

Well, here's one you'll find around Nana's Attic ALL. THE. TIME. 😂

Premier Parfait Chunky.

I use it for so many of my stuffed animals because I love the soft, velvety feel and the chunky stitches it gives my creations.

And the COLORS! ❤️

At this point, I think Parfait Chunky multiplies in my house when I'm not looking. Although there's a slight possibility Nana keeps buying it. 🤣

If you've followed Nana's Attic for any length of time, you've probably already seen something made from this yarn.
