After a busy week of cross country, high school football, and middle school soccer, I’m officially running on empty. NMS Raiders vs Elkhart Lions – 8th Grade Football 🏈🔥
The Raiders kicked off the season in dominant fashion, rolling past Elkhart with a strong all-around performance. From the first snap to the final whistle, NMS showed grit, speed, and teamwork.
Proud of these boys and the way they came out ready to compete. 💪
Let’s keep stacking wins and carry this momentum into the next game!

Larry James XC Invite: A Strong Start to the Season!
The photos from the Larry James XC Invite are officially posted and ready for viewing! Here are a few highlights from a fantastic day of racing.
The athletes came out ready to compete, and the results showed just how much potential this team has heading into the season.

Boys Varsity: 1st Place
Milo Blare: 3rd, 16:24
Andyn McClane: 4th, 16:24
The two finished only milliseconds apart!

Girls Varsity: 3rd Place
Madison Cobb: 4th, 19:10

Boys JV: 1st Place
Landon Swathwood: 2nd, 18:59
Carson Lehman: 4th, 19:05

Girls JV: 5th Place
Lily Bromley: 12th, 23:40

Overall, it was an outstanding opening to the season. The times, finishes, and team performances are already showing plenty of promise for what lies ahead.
The season is just getting started, and if the Larry James XC Invite is any indication, there is a lot to look forward to!

I'm excited to let you know that The Middlebury Summer Festival 5k and 1 mile run Gallery is finally ready to view. I sincerely apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, I ran into an issue with a corrupted SD card that affected all of the images from the event. Recovering the files took some time, but thankfully I was able to recover them successfully

Lighting can make or break a performance photo.

A quick reminder to those designing lighting for school performances, concerts, and stage productions: heavy red, blue, and purple lighting may seem dramatic in person, but it often creates major challenges for photography and video. These colors can wash out skin tones, remove detail, and make it difficult to capture clear, natural-looking images of performers.

Photographers work hard to preserve these moments for students, families, and schools. Balanced lighting not only improves photos it also helps the audience better see expressions, costumes, and performances live.

A little consideration in lighting design goes a long way toward creating memories that truly reflect the hard work happening on stage.

A few shots from the 2026 Big 11 Track Prelims are in the books, and the energy was electric all night long. From clutch finishes to personal bests, the athletes brought everything to the track.

Middlebury Community Schools Northridge High School Northridge Athletics Student Athletes of Michiana
The Northern Lakes Conference Track Meet on May 12th brought everything you could ask for in a championship atmosphere personal records, intense competition, shifting weather, and athletes pushing through rain and heavy winds to finish strong.

Despite the challenging conditions, both teams showed incredible grit throughout the night. The Boys Team battled their way to an impressive 2nd place finish, while the Girls Team put together a strong performance to earn 4th overall.
