Tricia Charles Photography Artwork for a Life Well Loved. Thoughtful canine and equine portraiture celebrating the bonds, stories, and connections that shape our lives.

First off - THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE! I'm so excited to "meet" you! =) I'm Tricia - a canine, equine, and senior portrait photographer for joyful, adventurous, heart-centered, beautiful pets and rising seniors. In my heart of hearts, I'm an artist who loves the beach and loves Massachusetts. I'm most at home on the beach or on water, am rarely seen without a big comfy sweatshirt, and feel happies

t around a firepit. And I love a great murder mystery or spy movie. At my core, I'm multi-passionate and a true visionary. I come up with a new business idea on a daily basis, and the hardest thing about what I do is choosing which one to chase next! But the one thing that has stood the test of time is my deep love for photography—any time the camera is in my hand, I feel at home, and I cannot wait to tell YOUR story and meet you oh-so-soon!

✨Your photographs were never meant to live only on a screen.✨

They were meant to become part of your home, your barn, your everyday life.

A quiet reminder of the horse who has carried you, challenged you, made you laugh, and somehow become woven into the fabric of who you are.

This is why I believe so strongly in creating finished artwork from your session. Because some relationships deserve more than a scroll through a camera roll. 🤎

✨The final chapter of my Equine & Rider Project. 🤍✨

Danielle & Slim.

Slim was truly magnificent to see in person. His size, his presence, and the quiet strength he carried made an immediate impression on me. But what stayed with me most was the connection between him and Danielle.

It was so clear how deeply they knew and cared for one another. In the way they stood together, the little gestures, and the ease of simply being in each other’s company, there was a sense of trust that needed very little explanation.

We spent a beautiful evening creating portraits that honored both Slim’s remarkable presence and the relationship they share.

As this project comes to a close, I’m reminded of how much I’ve loved meeting each horse and the person who knows them best. Every pair has brought something different, and every session has given me a little more to learn and carry into my work.

Thank you, Danielle, for sharing Slim with me and for being part of this project. It was a pleasure creating these photographs with you both. 🤍

✨Senior year deserves to be remembered. 🤍✨

Not just the cap and gown, but the person you've become along the way.

My senior portrait sessions are designed to feel relaxed and personal, with time to create photographs that reflect your personality, your interests, and the things that matter most to you. Whether that includes your favorite place, your dog, your horse or simply a beautiful setting where you can feel like yourself, we'll create something that feels distinctly yours.

Now booking senior portraits for the Class of 2027.

If you're looking for a more personal senior portrait experience, I'd love to hear from you.

Some photographs need a little room to breathe. 🤍

I love creating portraits that hold both the relationship and the landscape around it. The kind of image that can become more than a photograph of your horse, and feel completely at home as artwork on your walls.

Because the places where your story unfolds deserve to be remembered, too.

✨Sometimes the sessions that seem the simplest leave us with the most. ✨🤍

An evening with Mallory & Fella reminded me that beautiful photographs don't always need extraordinary places.

Sometimes, less really does become more.

Every photographer has a picture in their mind before a session begins. We imagine sweeping landscapes, winding trails, dramatic light filtering through the trees. It's easy to believe that extraordinary photographs require extraordinary places. Then there are the sessions that gently remind us othe

✨Some stories are shared between two. Others need a little more room. 🤍✨

Aden, Charlotte & Hank brought such a beautiful presence to their session, from quiet moments of connection to the unmistakable feeling of belonging that comes from being together.

One of the things I’ve loved most about this project is seeing how different every horse-and-human relationship can be. There is no single way that bond looks. Sometimes it is soft and still. Sometimes it is joyful. Sometimes your heart simply has room for more than one.

Aden, Charlotte & Hank.
Another beautiful chapter of my Equine & Rider Project.

Thank you, Aden, for sharing them with me and allowing me to create these portraits with you. 🤍

✨Senior year is about so much more than a graduation date.✨

It’s the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, and a chance to preserve the people, places, and animals who helped shape the years that came before it.

Senior portraits don’t have to feel formal or unfamiliar. They can happen somewhere you love, doing something that feels like you, with the dog or horse who has been beside you through it all.

I have limited availability remaining for fall senior portrait sessions in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. If you have a Class of 2027 senior and have been meaning to plan their portraits, now is a wonderful time to reach out.

Senior portraits, with room for the ones who belong in the story.

✨Your photographs were never meant to live only on a screen.✨

They were meant to become part of your home. Part of the rooms you walk through every day. A quiet reminder of a relationship that has shaped your life in ways both big and small.

Because long after the session is over, this is where the photographs truly begin to matter. 🤍

Fall portrait sessions are now booking. If you’ve been thinking about creating something lasting with your horse, I’d love to hear from you.

✨There is something especially beautiful about the friendship between a child and a horse.✨

A horse can become a companion, a confidant, a teacher, and a partner in adventures that belong entirely to the two of them.

Years from now, Matthew may not remember every ride or every afternoon spent at the barn. But I imagine he'll remember what it felt like to stand beside Nessie.

To be small next to something so magnificent, and to know that she was his friend. 🤍

Matthew & Nessie.

My first child and horse pair for the Equine & Rider Project, and a session that quickly became one of my favorites.

Thank you to Matthew and his family for trusting me with these memories. 🙏🏻 Susan

✨There are relationships that become such a familiar part of our lives, it’s easy to forget how extraordinary they really are.✨

The quiet routines. The trust built over years. The feeling of knowing each other without needing to say a word.

Savannah & Sophie. 🤍

Fall is one of my favorite seasons for equine portraits, with softer light, cooler evenings, and the beautiful colors of New England beginning to settle in.

Fall portrait sessions are now booking. If you’ve been thinking about creating something lasting with your horse, I’d love to tell your story, too.
